Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Lulu Group announced the successful completion of its first solar energy project in Saudi Arabia, installing a 502.7 kWp rooftop solar plant at its Riyadh Central Warehouse.
Developed in partnership with the Kanoo-CleanMax joint venture, the project will generate 846 MWh of clean energy annually, cutting carbon emissions by around 382 metric tons per year — equivalent to planting nearly 9,000 trees over the next decade, as per the company’s announcement on Linkedin.
This milestone reflects Lulu’s growing commitment to sustainability and aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 push for renewable energy. The plant is also one of the first in the retail sector to connect directly to the Saudi Electricity Company’s grid.

This initiative is part of Lulu’s wider sustainability strategy, which includes renewable energy adoption, circular economy initiatives, and environmental responsibility across its operations in the Gulf and beyond.
