Cairo – Sharikat Mubasher: With support from the World Bank, Egypt’s MSMEDA partnered with Visible.vc and leading venture capital firms to launch the country’s first unified portfolio reporting platform.
Spearheaded by Foundation Ventures, the initiative brings together top VCs including Algebra Ventures, Sawari Ventures, Shorooq Partners, Endure Capital, Camel Ventures, and others, according to a a recent press release.
The initiative aims to bring consistency to startup reporting, solving long-standing challenges with fragmented data and varied investor requirements. Currently, varying reporting formats and metrics create friction for both startups and investors. The new platform will streamline this process, improve data accuracy, and foster transparency.
Visible.vc was selected to build and co-develop the platform rollout, ensuring alignment with local investor needs. The full implementation is expected by the end of Q2 2025, with Egypt’s first ecosystem-wide VC data report set for release a year later.
By defining key metrics and setting reporting best practices, the initiative aims to make Egypt more attractive to foreign investors and better equipped to scale its startup scene.
