Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Tam-Europe, a bus and commercial vehicle manufacturer based in Slovenia, plans to begin full-scale manufacturing of electric vehicles (EVs), buses, trucks, and vans in Saudi Arabia using local components within 10 to 15 years, according to Chairman Yusef Ma.
The company has already begun assembling its buses in the Kingdom through its bus and truck assembly line in Riyadh Third Industrial City, Ma stated in an interview with Al Eqtisadiah newspaper.
He noted that the company successfully delivered 20 airport buses to King Khalid International Airport in 2021 in partnership with the Saudi national carrier, Saudia. This collaboration enhanced performance, increased efficiency, and built trust with operating partners.
Ma added that the company has a 25-year strategy to manufacture vehicles using 100% Saudi components, capitalizing on the Kingdom’s position as a regional manufacturing hub.
Tam Commercial Vehicles, the authorized agent for Tam-Europe commercial vehicles, provides comprehensive sales, service, and parts support for the full Tam-Europe product lineup in the Jeddah region and surrounding areas.
