Riyadh - Exclusive Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi-based Special Integrated Logistics Zone Company (SILZ) has successfully developed the Riyadh Integrated Special Logistics Zone at King Khalid International Airport, covering an area of three million square meters, under the supervision of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), SILZ’s Commercial Manager Talal Alotaibi stated in an interview with Sharikat Mubasher.

On the sidelines of the Supply Chain and Logistics Conference 2024, Alotaibi revealed that Riyadh Integrated currently serves seven investors, including global companies in the logistics and information technology (IT) sectors. Among these is Unipart Logistics, which has been fully operational in the zone for two years.

Alotaibi also disclosed that several companies are gearing up to start operations in Riyadh Integrated by 2026.

As Saudi Arabia’s first special economic zone, Riyadh Integrated aims to attract foreign investments and position the Kingdom as a global logistics hub linking the three continents.

In October, SILZ forged strategic partnerships with leading global and regional companies to further develop Riyadh Integrated, with a focus on light manufacturing, logistics, trade, and distribution.

The 6th Supply Chain and Logistics Conference convened in Riyadh on 15 and 16 December, with the participation of 100 exhibitors and more than 10 startups from over 10 countries.

It served as a dynamic platform that provides access to decision-makers in government agencies and commercial establishments and identifies investment initiatives and opportunities.

The conference gathered supply chain leaders from around the world to discuss strategies that will strengthen the Saudi economy and reinforce the Kingdom’s role as a global logistics hub linking three continents.
