Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources signed six significant business agreements during the fourth Ministerial Roundtable, marking the opening of the Future Minerals Forum (FMF).

The event brought together government representatives from 90 countries, including 16 G20 nations, along with 50 international organizations, NGOs, and global mining leaders, according to a press release.

These agreements represent a milestone in fostering international collaboration within the mining sector. They highlight Saudi Arabia’s ambition to establish itself as a global hub for mining and mineral exploration. Each agreement is designed to facilitate knowledge sharing, capacity building, and investment opportunities in the mineral resources sector, supporting the Kingdom’s goals of economic diversification and sustainable development.

Bandar Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources emphasized the importance of these partnerships, stating: “The agreements signed today reflect our unwavering dedication to building a robust and sustainable mining ecosystem in Saudi Arabia. By working hand-in-hand with global partners, we are creating new pathways for innovation, exploration, and responsible resource management.”

During the Ministerial Roundtable, the Kingdom formalized agreements with several nations. Zambia partnered with Saudi Arabia to enhance cooperation in mineral resources, focusing on exploration and development. Austria joined efforts to advance mining technology and resource management. The United Kingdom committed to fostering innovation and investment in the mineral sector. France agreed to strengthen ties in mining and minerals research. Djibouti aimed to drive sustainable resource development through its collaboration, while Jordan focused on joint efforts in geological exploration and resource utilization.

These partnerships underscore Saudi Arabia’s growing influence in the global mining community and its dedication to leveraging international expertise to realize the potential of its vast mineral resources.

Minister Alkhorayef praised FMF 2025 as a dynamic platform for fostering meaningful collaborations, stating: “These agreements reflect our vision of building a resilient and innovative global mining ecosystem and pushing the minerals agenda forward.”

The agreements align with Saudi Arabia’s broader objectives to promote sustainable development in supplier nations and ensure a resilient global minerals supply chain. As the FMF continues to unite world leaders, industry experts, and decision-makers, it has solidified its role as a catalyst for transformative partnerships in the global mining sector.
