Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), announced the launch of HUMAIN, a new PIF-owned company dedicated to advancing artificial intelligence (AI) across Saudi Arabia and beyond.
HUMAIN will serve as a unified operating company offering a full spectrum of AI products and services, including next-generation data centers, AI infrastructure, cloud capabilities, and advanced AI models, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency. Notably, it will introduce one of the world’s most powerful multimodal Arabic large language models (LLMs).
Chaired by the Crown Prince, HUMAIN aims to position Saudi Arabia as a regional and global AI hub, accelerating the adoption of AI in strategic sectors such as energy, healthcare, manufacturing, and financial services. The company will also help foster local innovation, develop intellectual property, and attract global talent.
This initiative aligns with PIF’s broader strategy to build a robust AI ecosystem, benefiting from the Kingdom’s strategic geographic location, growing digital economy, and young, tech-savvy population. Saudi Arabia was recently ranked first in the world for its government AI strategy by the 2024 Global AI Index.
HUMAIN is set to play a key role in achieving the Kingdom’s AI and digital transformation ambitions.
