
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi-based space analytics startup, SARsatX, closed a $2.6 million seed funding round, led by TONOMUS, the cognitive technology arm of NEOM, with participation from Wa’ed Ventures, Access Bridge Ventures, and KAUST Innovation Ventures.
SARsatX will use the funding to enhance its Earth Observation (EO) analytics capabilities and accelerate the integration of its advanced data insights with satellite assets, the company stated in a press release.
The investment will position SARsatX as a key player in the EO sector in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, with ambitions to expand into Africa, Southeast Asia, South America, and beyond.
Commenting on this milestone, Ahmed Alzubairi, Co-founder and CEO of SARsatX, said: “We deeply value the trust placed in us by our partners. SARsatX is the first MENA-based space startup to graduate from the globally recognized Seraphim Space Accelerator. It focuses on shaping the future of EO across the region by leveraging technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data analytics to deliver precise, actionable insights for various industries.
