Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Merak Capital announced it has led a SAR 2.2 million ($600,000) seed funding round for Khosouf Studio, a UAE-based independent game developer focused on premium PC, console, and virtual reality titles.
As per a recent press release, the investment was made through Merak Capital’s Gaming Fund, which is delivered in partnership with the National Development Fund and targets early-stage studios contributing to the development of Saudi Arabia’s gaming ecosystem.
The funding will support Khosouf Studio’s growth as it relocates its operations to Saudi Arabia, aligning with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 ambition to become a global hub for interactive entertainment and game development.
Merak Capital said the investment reflects its strategy of backing globally oriented studios with strong creative and technical capabilities that are committed to scaling from Saudi Arabia and building competitive gaming intellectual property.
Founded in 2020, Khosouf Studio develops narrative-driven games for PC, console, and VR platforms. In addition to game development, Khosouf also provides VR-based interactive, simulation, and educational solutions.
