Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: SC Ventures entered into a strategic partnership with Sanabil Studio to support the creation and scaling of SME-focused fintech ventures in Saudi Arabia, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 economic transformation agenda. As per a recent press release, the collaboration will explore joint venture creation and co-investment opportunities, with a focus on fintech solutions addressing core challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises, including access to finance and working capital, payments and embedded finance, SME banking infrastructure, and tools that enhance productivity, growth, and scalability.
Commenting on the partnership, Gabriel Heredia, Country Lead for Saudi Arabia at SC Ventures, said the collaboration brings together complementary strengths by combining SC Ventures’ global fintech expertise and international network with Sanabil Studio’s venture-building platform and deep local market knowledge. He noted that the partnership aims to support entrepreneurs developing scalable SME-focused solutions that contribute directly to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives.
Muhanad Alashtr, Head of Venture Build at Sanabil Studio, stated that the memorandum of understanding enables Sanabil Studio to leverage SC Ventures’ global fintech experience and network as it develops and validates companies designed to compete in both regional and international markets.
The partnership reflects a shared ambition to foster responsible innovation and contribute to the development of a sustainable, SME-focused fintech ecosystem in Saudi Arabia, as the Kingdom continues to strengthen its position as a regional fintech and venture-building hub.
