SDAIA signed six MoUs with global tech giants to reshape the future of AI future in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence (SDAIA) concluded strategic memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with several US entities to reshape the future of artificial intelligence (AI) in Saudi Arabia.

The agreements, signed on the sidelines of the Saudi-US Investment Forum 2025, included a partnership with Advanced Micro Devices (ADM) to advance the AI ecosystem in the Kingdom.

The MoU was signed by Abdullah Alghamdi, President of SDAIA, and Lisa Su, the Chair and Chief Executive Officer at AMD. It aims to explore the potential of establishing specialized AI data centers, leveraging AMD’s technologies to empower the digital infrastructure and enhance the capabilities of AI applications.

SDAIA also partnered with the global computing company, Rackspace Technology, to establish a regional Center of Excellence (CoE) focusing on three main pillars: Cloud Computing Innovation Center, AI Innovation Center, and Cloud Computing Center.

Another agreement was inked with Data Direct Network (DDN) to build AI data centers and provide technical training programs to exchange knowledge in the field of AI. Under this partnership, SDAIA and DDN will collaborate in the fields of data governance, AI, and cloud computing

The WEKA data platform also signed an MoU with SDAIA to build innovation centers that focus on advancing emerging technologies in AI across the Kingdom. It targets enhancing long-life data infrastructure and developing specialized programs to share and exchange knowledge.

Additionally, SDAIA concluded an MoU with Pure Storage, a US-based technology company, to bolster data infrastructure and enhance the performance of existing data centers, keep pace with the rapid changes in AI, and develop innovative cloud computing solutions. Through this partnership, both entities will join efforts to draw a strategic roadmap for data infrastructure sustainability.

Finally, SDAIA and the multinational cybersecurity company, Palo Alto Networks, signed an MoU to boost cybersecurity capabilities in the Kingdom by offering AI-driven technologies, and to achieve secure adoption of AI.
