Dubai – Sharikat Mubasher: Network International and Magnati have received regulatory approval to merge into a single fintech entity, paving the way for the creation of one of the largest digital payments platforms in the Middle East and Africa. The merger, backed by a Brookfield-led consortium, is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025.
According to a recent press release, the combined organization will serve over 250 financial institutions, 240,000 merchants, and more than 20 million cardholders across 50+ markets, offering services that span digital payments, small business lending, fraud prevention, and financial data insights.
According to Murat Cagri Suzer, Group CEO of Network International, the merger marks “a pivotal moment” for fintech in the region. He added that the combined scale, technology, and market reach will enable the new entity to drive financial inclusion and support economic digitization across MEA.
While integration will roll out in phases, both brands—Network International and Magnati—will continue to operate separately for now.
