Cairo – Sharikat Mubasher: Egyptian startup Suplyd secured $2 million in a pre-Series A round to expand its digital procurement platform for restaurants.
The round was led by 4DX Ventures, Camel Ventures, and Plus VC, with participation from Seedstars and existing investors, as per the company’s press release.
Founded in 2022, Suplyd aims to overhaul Egypt’s fragmented HORECA (hotels, restaurants, and catering) supply chain by connecting restaurants directly with suppliers. Its platform offers real-time ordering, inventory management, analytics, and delivery tracking—all through a single dashboard.
Since its $1.6 million pre-seed round, Suplyd has grown nearly 20-fold and now serves over 5,000 restaurants nationwide. The company plans to use the new funds to expand its reach in Egypt and launch new backend tools for restaurant operators.
Suplyd’s long-term vision is to go beyond procurement and build full-stack infrastructure for the country’s $10 billion food service industry.
