Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: SPICE, a new premium dining platform in the MENA region, has officially launched after operating in stealth mode, aiming to transform how restaurants secure funding and how diners discover top dining spots.
The platform was founded by industry veterans Zeid Husban, Wadi Hawi, and Yousef Sawalha, known for building ifood.jo and POSRocket, both acquired by global players, as per an official press release.
The company introduces a new concept called “Dining Capital,” offering restaurants upfront growth funding with no debt, equity, or repayment obligations. Alongside this financing model, SPICE will operate a premium app that connects diners to curated restaurants, offering reservations, personalized experiences, and exclusive rewards.
The founders say this model aligns the interests of restaurants, investors, and diners, allowing restaurants to grow independently while attracting high-value customers. The platform is designed with AI-driven personalization to enhance dining discovery and experiences.
Saudi Arabia has been chosen as SPICE’s first market, with restaurant partnerships now open in Riyadh and across the Kingdom. The company plans to expand to the UAE, wider GCC markets, and Europe within two years. Backed by regional investors in hospitality and technology, SPICE expects to announce its first group of partner restaurants in early 2026.
