Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Under the patronage and in the presence of Majed Al-Argoubi, Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), Zahra Energy has signed two contracts to install rooftop solar systems at two major industrial plants in Saudi Arabia: Tameer Steel and Talai Al-Folath for Manufacturing Company.
As per MODON’s announcement on X.com, each facility will host a solar installation with a capacity of approximately 2 megawatts, bringing the combined capacity to around 4 MW.
The projects are expected to reduce approximately 5,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually, contributing to the Kingdom’s broader sustainability and clean energy goals.
These installations are part of a wider push to integrate renewable energy solutions across industrial cities, enhancing operational efficiency while reducing environmental impact.
Zahra Energy’s move reflects growing momentum in Saudi Arabia’s industrial sector to adopt solar power and renewable energy technologies. By leveraging available rooftop space for energy generation, companies not only cut emissions but also reduce operational costs, supporting economic and environmental objectives simultaneously.
MODON’s support highlights the role of industrial city authorities in promoting clean energy adoption and facilitating partnerships that drive Saudi Arabia’s transition toward a low-carbon economy.
