Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s Council of Ministers approved the extension of the National Technology Development Program (NTDP) until the end of 2030, reinforcing the Kingdom’s long-term commitment to building a globally competitive technology ecosystem.
Supported by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the program has delivered a strong economic and employment impact over the past five years. Official figures from the MCIT’s press release show that NTDP-supported companies have created more than 17,000 jobs and contributed over SAR 21 billion to the Kingdom’s GDP.
The program has also enabled eight Saudi unicorns, attracted more than 200 international technology companies to operate in Saudi Arabia, and supported over 3,550 entrepreneurs.
The extension aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader digital transformation agenda, as the government continues to strengthen innovation, develop local talent, and expand the technology sector’s contribution to economic growth.
