
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Electronic payments in Saudi Arabia accounted for 85% of total retail payments in 2025, up from 79% in 2024, with the number of electronic transactions reaching 14.6 billion from 12.6 billion in 2024.
According to a recent statement by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), these figures reflect the growth achieved in the national payment systems in 2025 and underscore the Kingdom’s advanced global standing, driven by increased transaction volumes through the Mada payment system.
This milestone also reflects the continued expansion of electronic payment adoption and its growing role in everyday transactions.
SAMA emphasized its commitment to expanding payment options and promoting digital payments by advancing the Saudi national payment systems’ infrastructure and enhancing related solutions to support economic activities.
