
Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Starlinks, a Gulf-based logistics and supply chain solutions provider, announced choosing Swisslog, a Switzerland-based warehouse automation company, to deliver an automation program for a new aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in Saudi Arabia.
As per an official press release, this project forms part of a broader supply chain solution being delivered by Starlinks for a leading Middle Eastern aviation company and is designed to support growing demand for aircraft maintenance services and spare parts logistics in the Kingdom and wider region.
Swisslog will provide warehouse automation systems and software covering inventory storage, material handling and distribution. The integrated solution will combine a high-density AutoStore system for small parts with pallet automation and Swisslog’s SynQ software platform.
On this occasion, Alexander Komianos, Managing Director UAE & Solutions at Starlinks, said the project will help build supply chain capacity as Saudi Arabia expands its aviation and logistics sectors.
Meanwhile, Rami Younes, General Manager of Swisslog Middle East, said the solution will support inventory availability, space efficiency and reliable material flow.
