Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Emad Al Thukair, Co-Chairman of the Saudi-British Joint Business Council (SBJBC), revealed that around 1,700 British companies are currently operating in Saudi Arabia.

He added, in an interview with Asharq Business, that over the past 18 months, the number of UK firms relocating their regional headquarters to the Kingdom has significantly doubled.

Al Thukair further added that approximately 4,500 Britons are currently working on Diriyah projects, while a total of 33,000 are employed across Saudi Arabia.

He emphasized that efforts are underway to boost bilateral trade from the current £17 billion to £30 billion by 2030.
