Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Front End Limited Company signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cluster 2 Airports, which manages 22 airports across Saudi Arabia, to deploy autonomous air mobility technologies in partnership with global AAV pioneer EHang.

According to a recent press release, the agreement will see the trio jointly introduce and localize Autonomous Aerial Vehicles (AAV) for passenger and logistics use, supported by an Urban Traffic Management system to safely integrate operations into Saudi urban skies. The plan moves Saudi Arabia beyond trial phases and toward full-scale deployment, making it the first country in the region to do so.

Majid Alghaslan, Front End chairman and CEO, said the collaboration, backed by the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program and the General Authority of Civil Aviation, lays the foundation for a low-altitude economy, a sector expected to reach $150–200 billion globally by 2030, with urban air mobility accounting for up to $30 billion.

The initiative aligns with Vision 2030 and follows a 2024 demonstration in Mecca, where Front End and EHang successfully showcased an unmanned air taxi, signaling Saudi Arabia’s readiness to lead in next-generation mobility.
