Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Abu Dhabi-based venture capital firm Shorooq Partners is accelerating its expansion in Saudi Arabia, according to co-founder Mahmoud Adi.

Speaking to Asharq Business on the sidelines of the Private Capital Forum2025 in Riyadh, Adi said Shorooq’s total investments across its three main strategies have reached around $500 million.

He added that the firm has placed a special focus this year on venture capital investments in Saudi Arabia, completing seven deals in the Kingdom so far.

Shorooq is also preparing to announce a new $12 million investment round soon. He added that the firm is planning two IPOs in 2026, one in Saudi Arabia and another in South Korea, as part of its broader regional expansion strategy.
