
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at) celebrated the graduation of 20 university startups from the University of Business and Technology (UBT) Accelerator Program in Jeddah, as part of the University Startup Accelerator Program.
The ceremony was attended by Sami Alhussaini, Governor of Monsha’at, Abdullah Dahlan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the UBT, and several experts in the entrepreneurship ecosystem, the authority announced in a statement yesterday.
During the event, the startups presented their business models and investment opportunities to investors and financing entities. The projects spanned various technology and service sectors, reflecting the widening scope of innovation within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The startups also showcased their products and services to explore opportunities for collaboration and investment partnerships.
Throughout six months, Monsha’at provided participants with various development programs and services to enhance their entrepreneurial capabilities. This included workshops, mentoring sessions, specialized consultations, and access to financing solutions and networking opportunities with investors.
Through its programs, Monsha’at contributed to the graduation of 260 university startups by implementing business incubators and accelerators at 12 universities across various regions of the Kingdom.
This underscores the authority’s ongoing efforts and commitment to supporting the university entrepreneurship ecosystem, thereby enabling startups to grow and achieve sustainability, contributing to the national economy, and advancing the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
