
Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: The Wadi Jeddah Innovation Hub hosted the AI VIBECODING Hackathon on 2 May 2026, in partnership with Replit, C.XSEED, and StartSmart, bringing together students for a hands-on experience in artificial intelligence and software development.
Held in Jeddah as a one-day, in-person event, the hackathon gathered participants to build AI-driven solutions targeting key sectors including education, work, and healthcare.
Organizers provided access to AI-powered development tools, along with mentorship from more than 20 global experts and entrepreneurs, offering participants practical exposure to real-world tech development.
Students from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology took part in the event, with additional support made available through student services, including travel logistics and communication skills coaching ahead of the competition.
The hackathon aimed to strengthen ties between students and Saudi Arabia’s innovation ecosystem, while supporting the development of future-ready digital skills aligned with the Kingdom’s broader economic transformation goals.
