Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia's central bank (SAMA) announced it has granted a license to Himma Platform for financing to provide debt-based crowdfunding services, expanding the Kingdom's regulated alternative finance sector.

The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) said the new authorization brings the total number of finance companies licensed to operate in the Kingdom to 78.

The company described the approval as a major milestone in its mission to address one of the biggest financing challenges facing Saudi micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs): gaining fast, fair, and Shariah-compliant access to funding against invoices they have already earned.

With the new license, Himma will enable businesses to convert approved invoices into immediate working capital through its debt-based crowdfunding platform. The model connects suppliers seeking liquidity with investors looking for Shariah-compliant investment opportunities, while helping corporates build stronger and more resilient supply chains.
