Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: The Small and Medium Enterprises Bank (SME Bank) said that financing guarantees provided through the Small and Medium Enterprises Loan Guarantee Program (Kafalah) have exceeded SAR 100 billion, benefiting more than 28,000 small and medium-sized enterprises.
The guarantees have supported total financing of more than SAR 140 billion, according to the bank, as per the bank’s announcement.
Yousef Al-Benyan, SME Bank chairman, said the milestone reflects continued government support for the SME sector and its role in advancing economic diversification under Saudi Vision 2030.
Ibrahim Al-Rashid, SME Bank CEO, said Kafalah has also supported business expansion, with 51 medium-sized companies benefiting from the program subsequently listing on the Nomu parallel market.
Guaranteed credit facilities through Kafalah accounted for 8% of total SME financing in Saudi Arabia, which reached SAR489 billion by the end of the first quarter of 2026.
