Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi corporate-travel technology platform FlyAkeed announced securing SAR 94.3 million in growth funding during LEAP 2026.

The funding includes an equity investment led by Sanabil Investments, with participation from Artal Capital, stc Group's corporate venture capital fund, and Aljazira Capital, along with a Shariah-compliant Murabaha sukuk financing led by Artal Capital, according to the company’s official statement.

FlyAkeed will use the new capital to accelerate its expansion across Saudi Arabia and the GCC, and advance its AI and analytics capabilities.

Additionally, the investment will help the platform support its new embedded deferred payment solution ‘travel now, pay later,’ which enables enterprises to book travel upfront and settle later through one consolidated invoice.

Commenting on the funding, Bassam Almohammadi, founder and CEO of FlyAkeed, said: “Corporate travel in our region still runs on phone calls, WhatsApp groups and spreadsheets. We are replacing that with an operating system: every trip inside policy, every riyal visible in real time, every approval in seconds. With Sanabil Investments, Artal Capital, Tali Ventures, and Aljazira Capital behind us, our ambition is simple: to make FlyAkeed the standard for how enterprises in the Gulf move.”

The growth funding represents a significant milestone in FlyAkeed’s journey to build the future of enterprise travel.

“FlyAkeed has built a strong position in Saudi Arabia by addressing a clear and growing need for businesses to manage travel with greater efficiency, visibility and control. Since our initial investment, we have seen the team continue to strengthen the platform and deepen its value to enterprise customers. We are pleased to continue supporting Bassam and the FlyAkeed team in their next phase of growth,” said a spokesperson at Sanabil Investments.

LEAP2026 takes place from 31 August to 3 September under the theme “Into New Worlds,” bringing together thousands of companies, startups, investors, and technology experts. It is expected to attract more than 1,000 global speakers and experts, 1,800 technology companies, 600 startups, and 1,900 investors and venture capital representatives.
