
Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Indian tech firm Wipro officially opened its new regional headquarters in Riyadh, relocating from Al Khobar as part of its broader expansion in Saudi Arabia.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Wipro executives, employees, and clients, as per the company’s press release.
Vinay Firake, Wipro’s CEO for Asia Pacific, India, Middle East and Africa, said the move reinforces the company’s commitment to Saudi Arabia’s evolving business landscape. He emphasized that the Riyadh HQ aligns with Wipro’s vision for sustainable growth and talent development in the region. Firake also noted that the recent appointment of Mohamed Mousa as Managing Director for Wipro Middle East, based in Riyadh, would further support the company’s growth strategy.
Wipro’s footprint in the Kingdom now includes offices in Riyadh, Al Khobar, Jeddah, and Jubail. The company also recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University to establish a Centre of Excellence in Riyadh. The initiative aims to equip young Saudi nationals with advanced tech skills and hands-on training, helping prepare a future-ready workforce for the local market.
