
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) launched the ‘Technologies for Exceptional Transformation’ initiative to accelerate the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies across the industrial sector.
The initiative, launched as part of the Industrial Sector Support Initiative (ISSI), aims to facilitate the adoption of advanced technologies with support from KAUST experts and to back factories in addressing challenges in leveraging the latest industrial technologies, the ministry revealed in a statement yesterday.
Targeting industrial companies of all sizes, the program aims to support companies in enhancing existing products, developing new ones, streamlining manufacturing processes, and adopting the latest manufacturing technologies.
The Technologies for Exceptional Transformation initiative was launched under the umbrella of the ‘Local Industry Stimulation Initiative’ to promote the local industry. Eligible applicants must demonstrate technical challenges and innovation needs, as well as a willingness to share financial and innovation metrics to highlight the impact of technology deployment.
The initiative is open to all Saudi-headquartered manufacturing companies operating within the priority sectors of the National Industrial Strategy.
