Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Savvy Games Group at LEAP 2026 to develop national talent, build career pathways, and support gaming and esports startups.

The agreement sets the framework for cooperation between the two sides to leverage MCIT's talent pool and programs, providing expanded collaboration with national academies, particularly Tuwaiq Academy and the Saudi Digital Academy, to equip national talent with the skills and expertise required in the labor market, the ministry stated in a press release yesterday.

Under the MoU, Savvy will integrate its Nine66 Incubator Program with the Center of Digital Entrepreneurship incubator, expanding support for entrepreneurs and improving startups' access to specialized programs, expertise, and growth opportunities in the gaming sector.

The agreement covers various areas of cooperation, including delivering Savvy Academy's Next-Gen program through national academies, helping raise awareness of career pathways and employment opportunities in gaming and esports.

LEAP2026 takes place from 31 August to 3 September under the theme “Into New Worlds,” bringing together thousands of companies, startups, investors, and technology experts. It is expected to attract more than 1,000 global speakers and experts, 1,800 technology companies, 600 startups, and 1,900 investors and venture capital representatives.
