
Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Sami bin Ibrahim Al-Hussaini, Governor of the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monsha’at), met with Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Obaikan, Riyadh Chamber Chairman, and board members to strengthen cooperation and discuss ways to support entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the region.
During the meeting, Al-Hussaini reviewed the National Strategy for Entrepreneurship and SMEs, including its 13 initiatives aimed at supporting business growth, improving access to markets, financing and opportunities, and strengthening SMEs’ ability to expand and compete, according to a recent press release by Monsha’at.
Al-Hussaini said Riyadh is home to the Kingdom’s largest base of SMEs and has strong competitive advantages that support their sustainable growth. Monsha’at seeks to align national efforts to address challenges and improve entrepreneurs’ access to financing, markets and operational solutions.
Al-Obaikan highlighted the importance of continued cooperation between Riyadh Chamber and Monsha’at, noting the sector’s role in economic diversification, innovation and private-sector growth under Saudi Vision 2030.
Al-Hussaini also met with entrepreneurs and SME owners to discuss challenges and initiatives supporting business efficiency, innovation and sustainability.
