
Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Etihad Salam Telecom Company (Salam), a Saudi telecommunications and digital infrastructure provider, announced signing a memorandum of understanding with Smartech Digital Solutions Co. (SmartFactory) at LEAP 2026 in Riyadh to support digital transformation across the Kingdom’s manufacturing sector.
As per a recent press release, the partnership combines Salam’s enterprise connectivity, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity and managed services with SmartFactory’s expertise in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM).
Under the agreement, the companies will jointly market, sell and deliver integrated solutions designed to connect manufacturing operations from network infrastructure to the factory floor. The model aims to provide manufacturers with secure, intelligent and connected technology through a single partnership.
Abdullah Khorami, Chief Business Officer at Salam, said the collaboration would enable the company to support manufacturers “from the network layer all the way to the factory floor.”
Emin Cağatay Güleç, SmartFactory CEO, said the partnership would combine Salam’s enterprise infrastructure and managed services with SmartFactory’s MES and MOM capabilities.
Worth noting that the fifth edition of the global technology event Leap 2026 took place from 31 August to 3 September at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, north of Riyadh.
