
Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: SUSE announced launching operations in Saudi Arabia by establishing a legal entity in Riyadh, marking a strategic move to expand its enterprise open source and cloud infrastructure services across the Kingdom’s public and private sectors.
The company said in a press release that the Saudi launch is designed to support national digital transformation objectives while enabling closer engagement with local customers. SUSE already operates across the Middle East, but the creation of a dedicated Saudi entity allows it to deliver localized services and technical support directly within the market.
According to the company, the expansion comes amid strong growth in Saudi Arabia’s ICT sector, which was valued at more than $50 billion in 2024 and is projected to continue expanding over the coming years
Ismail Ibrahim, General Manager for Central Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa at SUSE, indicated that the company’s formal market entry reflects its support for Saudi Arabia’s ambition to become a regional technology hub, particularly through open-source infrastructure that reduces vendor dependency.
