Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: BinDawood Holding Company, one of the leading retailers in Saudi Arabia, completed the acquisition of a 51% stake in Wonder Bakery, the quality-driven industrial bakery based in the UAE, for AED 114.8 million (approximately SAR 116.4 million).
In a bourse filing, the Saudi retailer announced that it completed the regulatory process for the share ownership transfer, affirming that the acquisition supports the company’s strategy to strengthen vertical integration by enhancing sourcing capabilities, production, and distribution across its food-related operations.
The transaction aligns with BinDawood’s efforts to enhance local and regional food security by establishing state-of-the-art in-house production capabilities in the Kingdom, supporting greater operational stability and long-term continuity.
By acquiring Wonder Bakery, BinDawood will gain access to a more reliable product supply while maintaining high-quality standards across its operations.
In December 2025, BinDawood signed a Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) to acquire a 51% stake in Wonder Bakery as part of its strategy to expand its regional footprint and strengthen its presence in the fast-growing bakery manufacturing sector, thereby enhancing its ability to optimize supply chains.
Established in 2014, Wonder Bakery is a Dubai-based industrial-scale bakery manufacturer specializing in fresh and frozen bakery products for the hotel, restaurant, café, airline, and retail sector companies. It has a robust presence in Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait, with plans to expand globally to solidify its position as one of the leading manufacturers of fresh and frozen bakery products.
